Our Story

Dove & Myrtle has always been my dream, I just took longer than some to realise it and to take the leap from an enviable role in the fashion industry to following the quiet yet persistent call to embrace my own creativity and go it alone. Even then, I wasn’t entirely sure where the path would lead and, in in many ways it continues to evolve and meander which I embrace wholeheartedly!

Flowers, gardens and nature generally are my true passions. Those and being in or nearby water watching the clouds roll by overhead, listening to the birds and feeling the breeze on my skin. I’m a romantic and a dreamer and that absolutely shows with everything I make. Tangled roses, escaping tendrils and wayward dancing stems are all a part of the magic - the closer you look the more you discover. I used to weave yarns but now I weave colours, textures and fragrance to bring the wonder of a stumbled upon secret garden into my designs.

I adore working on weddings, it’s such a privilege to be a part of someone’s special day and to share in their joy and over the last year or so I have fallen head over heels in love all over again with dried flowers. They have a slow beauty all of their own and working with an abundance of dried flowers, seed heads, grasses and berries evokes wonderful memories of seasons past whatever the time of year. I’m excited to see where this leads Dove & Myrtle over the coming months and years.
